Annie (Squirt)

Hello, I'm Annie (Squirt). I am a lovable, snuggle bug of a Pit Bull mix that was born in 2019. I was originally found as a stray when I was just a pup and no owner came forward to claim me. I quickly found a home to grow up in but sadly they had to move into a place that doesn't allow Pit Bulls. They didn't even meet me to find out what a lover and not a fighter I am. In my adopted home I lived with children, other dogs (big and small), and was kennel trained for when they had to leave the home. Since I have returned to BAAP I have been very selective on dogs I could possibly be friends with. While I'm waiting for forever home, I've been working with a dog trainer and I've been introduced to a few play groups and have done very well with. My ideal canine friend would be someone similar to my play style. A meet and greet is required with your current dog(s) and myself before I could join the family. I am housetrained but will need a little time to learn the new routine. I would love a forever home that has children and/or dogs to play with and a big fenced yard to play in. I am spayed, vaccinated including rabies, microchipped, wormed, and tested negative for heartworms. Note: To adopt, you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites (Benld or Springfield IL), and be at least 18 years of age.
