Most of our dogs are at the shelter but some are in foster homes. Before being adopted all dogs will spend 2 weeks in quarantine, receive 2 sets of vaccines, be dewormed twice, if over 6 months of age they will be tested for heart worms, and they will be spayed or neutered. The local adoption fee is $100. The out of state adoption fee is $125 which does not include transportation fees.

Hi I'm Amelia and I am a 6mo old female Weimaraner/Staffordshire terrier mix. I came to the shelter because someone called and let them know that I was being abused! I was being beaten up by other dogs and that is why I have some scars on my head they are healing but I will probably always have a few. I was also not being fed and I didn't have a house to stay warm in. But know I am doing so much better I have put on weight and while I am still a little shy I am coming out of my shell a lot! I love to run and go for walks and I am looking for my forever home where someone will love me and always take good care of me. Please come visit me today at the Jackson Humane Society
