AMBUSH, 7 months old at intake, is a mixed breed puppy taken in on 7/15/24. He originally came to us with his momma, 6 litter mates and 3 other dogs in Feb. Adopted in March, he was returned because he wasn't a good fit. At 2 months old, Ambush was the most gregarious, chunkiest and outgoing of his litter. Still growing, all that eating has paid off as he's taller and now weighs 61 lbs.! Nervous about being back at the shelter, Ambush is shy at first and needs time to warm up. One way to his heart is through treats and the other is toys. Squeaking ours for photos helped him to relax a little, but he was still a bit reserved. Ambush also got excited when walking through the shelter he spied a Kong Wubba toy. His tail and ears perked up and his eyes brightened when he spied that toy. Ambush was about to take it out of the person's hand until the person moved and he stopped. We took the toy out to him later and he was happy to to have it. Ambush is sweet and mild mannered, but we suspect that once he adjusts a little, his full playful spirit will return. His adoption fee is $150. He's neutered, current on shots, wormed, treated with monthly heart worm and flea preventive and microchipped.
