My Story

Isn’t she a beauty? Amber just turned a year old in August. She is a very blond dog, very tall and thin. She weighs about 57#.. She is a little camera shy, so it was hard to get great pictures of her.

Amber has been with us for a year and she has quite a story to tell. We rescued her pregnant mother from a guy who was going to do her in with a baseball bat and Amber was one of seven beautiful puppies born on 8/5/05. Amber was born with a significant heart murmur. She had heart surgery at 12 weeks of age to save her life. The condition couldn't be fixed completey, but it was greatly improved to that she can live a perfectly normal, long life. She has no medication and requires no special care.

Amber is a special girl, needless to say. She is housetrained and crate trained. She is good with all dogs, cats, kids and people. She’s still a little mouthy and she loves to lick you. She also loves to lay near you while watching TV.

She goes to work with us everyday, so she is quite used to being on the go. She lives with her littermate and another puppy, so she plays quite a bit with them. She has been spoiled rotten, so she isn’t as well-trained as we’d like her to be. She knows SIT, DOWN, COME, and OFF pretty well. She loves riding in the car.

We want Amber to be someone’s special dog, where she will get even more attention than what we can give her . She deserves it. Are you that special home for this very special girl?

This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). Heckuva deal when you consider we've spent $4800 on her! This includes being spayed/neutered, having heart surgery, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. If you'd like to have an application emailed to you, just email us. Thank you!
