Amazing Zeus!! - Fostered in Lincoln, NE

My name is Zeus, but I don't make it thunder or lightning. In fact, I'm not sure I even like thunder. I have a big name but am only 20 pounds. My foster mom says I'm a sweetheart. I'm an 8-year-old beagle mix that is bonded to the Amazing Jordan (pit bull mix). We really need to stay together as he is my best friend and comfort dog. We came to BBRH from a high kill shelter in Illinois and were strays before that so not much is known about our history. I love to cuddle with people and Jordan. Jordan is really the only big dog I seem to like. Other big dogs kinda scare me. He weighs about 50 lbs. Sometimes when I'm asleep and there is movement around me, I get scared because I forget I'm not out in the cold and wild anymore. I'm also not fond of being picked up and carried. I won't hurt you, but I'll be sure to tell you I don't like it. I love to be outside! Jordan and I love to lay in the sun and catch some rays. You'll want to make sure there's no escape route out of the fence though. Sometimes I like to be sneaky. I also like to relax inside the house with my people. I am potty trained and kennel trained. I sleep on my foster mom's bed, so I don't need to be kenneled. My foster mom says I haven't gotten into any trouble with Jordan while she is at work, so she lets us roam the house during the day. I do well with dogs my own size or smaller but would prefer a house without other large dogs-Jordan is enough for me. I am unsure if I have ever met a cat, so I don't know how I feel about them. I would probably do better with bigger kids. Sometimes Jordan and I get a little excited and jump up on people. I could probably be trained not to jump but I would hate to knock any little kids down. I only weigh 20 pounds, but Jordan is pretty big. He is also pretty cool, so I tend to copy the things he does-even the naughty stuff, like jumping. My foster mom says I'm a pretty chill dog. I mostly like to lie around with her and watch the good shows on TV. I LOVE walks and I'll tell you all about it on our journey. I do pretty well on a leash and with a harness.
