Alma (Irina)

Alma is a sweet 2-year-old hound mix who will be a great companion for someone who wants a buddy for all their adventures! Alma's favorite thing is being by her person's side. Whether she's playing with her toys next to you while you're on a work call, relaxing at a brewery, or smiling at you while you climb a mountain, she'll just be happy to be with you! Alma is gentle and calm most of the time, but like any dog, she can get goofy bursts of energy that make her all the more lovable. Alma loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another furry friend! It does take her a minute to warm up to new people, but once she trusts someone, she wants nothing more than to cuddle on their lap! Alma is smart and food motivated and wants to please her person, which makes training fun for everyone! She is great on a leash and loves walks. She is working through some separation anxiety and will need consistency, structure, and plenty of exercise when she transitions to her forever home. It would be best if her person can be home for most of the day. Right now, her crate is her safe space, and she willingly tucks herself in there when she needs to relax or is ready for bed. Alma is going to be the perfect dog for someone who is looking for a best friend to be around for every part of their life!
