Alfie is one of a litter of eight that was born at one of our foster homes. A stray dog (
Bonnie, who looks like a part Saluki--brown, black muzzle, about 35-40 lbs. )delivered her pups; the pups were put up for adoption; and all but one, Blacktop, was adopted. The foster home owner decided to keep Alfie. This foster parent recently got a new job working nights and didn't feel like that she could give adequate time to Alfie. She had to decide to put him up for adoption also. He has been living inside--is partially housebroken, about 20 lbs at 3 1/2 months of age. He has had all his puppy shots. He is neutered and only needs his rabies shot when he is four months old. He, like his mother, is tan, white front feet, and a black muzzle and is very fluffy.
For the $60 adoption fee, this animal will have received rabies shot, puppy shots, worming, and spay/ neuter--and sometimes a considerable investment of services and treatments.
We set up under the Moody's tent at the Ingles in Sylva, NC every Saturday from at least 1 to 3 PM (longer if the weather is nice). You can also view animals by making an appointment with the foster parent. Get directions from your location.
