My Story

Alcott is a tri-colored boy who came to BHRG from a puppy mill. He is a very loving and quiet dog who loves to chew on bones and play with a ball. He will toss it in the air and chase after it. Alcott has a very deep but not very loud bark that he reserves for the kittens who live outside. He loves to try to get them, but only to play. Alcott loves to be outside and sniff everything on his walks. He had very little handling and social skills, but he's made TREMENDOUS progress in learning to trust humans and the other bassets he lives with. He does prefer to stay in or near his crate but is getting better about exploring. He will retreat to his crate if it gets too loud. Alcott is friendly with people and other dogs and behaves fine with gentle children. For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
