Spring is in the air and the dogs are feeling it. All have been getting into shenanigans except for Al. Al never falters and us just a happy fo lucky dog happy to be with his people
Al is an approx 2 1/2 year old Malinois. Al had been having issues with his paws. Severe cracks and breaking. He’s been to the vet a few times and it was determined that he likely has an autoimmune disorder. So far, Omegas and Vitamin E have been doing wonders and he’s back to his normal playful self. Need to monitor closely for relapse. He’s currently eating Iams digestive health, as he has a finicky stomach.
Now about him. Al is a more laid back Malinois. He’s happy to be with his people. Want to go for a hike, he’s down! Want to Lounge around the house, he’s happy to do that too! He plays well with the dogs at the facility but would do best with a female dog. He has not been around cats but we do not advise. Al is quite large and has the bad habit of jumping so suggest no kids under 15. It is unknown how Al will behave in a home setting as he was found as a stray and been at our facility since. We do believe with proper decompression, Al would adjust well to a home environmen. Al is incredibly loyal to his people but non reactive to strangers. He is a dog who avoids those he does not trust or want to approach. Al had a pretty good off switch, he’s very in tune with his person. He would benefit from outtings on a prong - so training on proper use of prong is beneficial. He is a soft hearted dog. Treat him right and he’ll give you everything.
