Hey there, dog lovers! I'm Akessa, a female Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix, aged 5 years and weighing in at a perfect 54 pounds. As a recent **Pups 4 Parole training program** graduate, I'm a proud member of the house, kennel and leash-trained club! I will need my forever family to be committed to continuing my training so I can be the bestest girl ever! My time in 'prison' taught me that not all other dogs are bad. With proper introduction, I get along with most other polite dogs. I'm not fond of feline friends, but I get along famously with older children, enjoying their playful energy and companionship. For my safety and security, I require a minimum 4-foot fence. With my knowledge of basic commands and eagerness to please, I'm always up for a challenge and ready to learn new tricks with the guidance of a patient and loving family. I'm considered a special needs pup (don't we all have special needs?), as I take a daily medication that helps with overnight bladder control.
