ADOPTED - UPDATE - July 10, 2010 - We are so happy - Titan is adopted - Yay for Titan! Thank you Amy so much for giving Titan such a wonderful and loving home - he's a lucky boy to have you!!!
UPDATE: June 29, 2010 - We have some wonderful news! Titan is now in our foster to adopt program. Thank you so much Amy for wanting to be a part of this very special boy's life. Titan is a lucky boy to have so many people who care about him - special thanks to Alexia, Amy, Beverly, Jacky, Marlene, Krystine and Marissa - together you have made such a difference in Titan's life.
Titan is a remarkable soul and is a very sweet boy. We have moved Titan to a boarding facility. Thank you so much Alexia for sponsoring Titan, which enabled AARF to move him from the animal control facility. We are are so thankful for the kindness and compassion you have shown Titan.
We have had Titan to the vet and blood work and urinalysis results have diagnosed Titan with a severe bladder infection. Many of the dogs AARF rescues from the animal control facility develop bladder infections due to the fact that they are kept 24/7 in a kennel and are forced to do all their "business" in their kennel. This is extremely difficult for dogs that are house trained as they tend to "hold it" in hope that someone will let them outside to relieve themselves. Titan has responded wonderfully to the antibiotics. He is feeling so much better and is loved and cherished dearly by all the girls at the boarding facility. Titan is in remarkable shape; he loves going for walks on the Bruce Trail. He has personality plus and loves to be around people and is very well behaved. He is gentle in every way and when you ask him for a kiss, it's no problem for Titan, he just loves kissing the ladies!
Our sweet boy Titan has a sad story to tell. Through no fault of his own and after being with the same person since he was 7 weeks old, he was surrendered to an animal control facility. Titan has not done well there as he has spent most of his time 24/7 in a concrete kennel. He has lost weight and has become very sad and depressed.
AARF has just brought Titan into the rescue. We will be having him vet checked. As well, Titan needs some medical attention: he is not neutered and he also has a perineal hernia. We will keep you posted on his progress.
