Gus is a WONDERFUL dog, picked up as a stray. We're not sure what Gus' lineage is but several folks familiar with the breed commented he reminds them of a Chinook, and others a Shepherd. Words can't describe what a nice dog Gus is. He likes everyone...other dogs, children, adults. He's afraid of cats. Gus is a good natured boy with a sweet, playful disposition. He looks to be between 2-3 years old. Best described as having a medium energy level, a good walk is all it takes to keep Gus happy. He appears to be housetrained as he keeps his indoor kennel spotless. Gus is a little underweight right now so we are working on packing a few pounds on him. Gus walks well on a leash but does need basic obedience training. One of the volunteers took him for a run and he stayed right by her left side and matched her pace.
The ideal home for Gus is one that will include him as a loved member of the family. Are you that home? For more info please call the shelter or email us.
