3/2/06
Meet Ace. He is a young adult neutered male Anatolian, appx 2-3 y/o. He is a big boy and weighs over 100 pounds.
He is a great family dog, he just wants to hang around his people and do what they do.
Indoors he is really low-key, and is happy to lay around where he can see his people.
He enjoys being loved and groomed, and lays down no-fuss for his nail-trimming.
He is not food possessive and has a gentle mouth taking treats offered by toddler aged children. He will be a wonderful match for a family with youngsters running around.
He enjoys family of all ages and is compliant with guests.
He is not rambunctious with kids, but will play ball and loves chasing apples or toys.
Indoors, he is a gentleman, he is crate trained and potty trained. He is non-destructive in the house.
Outside he does not dig or shred, but will sometimes chase cats.
He is ok with horses, goats, and mellow poultry. He is also fine with duck flocks.
Although Ace is non aggressive with these farm animals, he is not considered LGD material bc he is too people oriented to be able to live outdoors with the livestock. We are sure he would not be content to stay outdoors on his own with them.
He would be well suited to a family farm as long as he is able to come inside with the family.
He walks well on lead and rides well in the car.
He will guard bark at strangers and nighttime noises, so he would be considered a good family guardian/protector.
Ace is not fond of other male dogs, we have not tested him with female dogs so we are not sure how he is with them.
He would probably do best in a home where he was the only male dog.
