My Story

Introducing Abby ADOPTION PENDING!

Abby is a beautiful 4 year old female IG that came directly from a puppymill. She was rescued by a kind soul who turned her over to rescue because they were not equipped to deal with her special needs.

Abby has made a lot of progress since she came into rescue last June. Initially very timid, Abby now loves to go for walks and she loves to sleep with her head on her foster siblings. She has grown to love pizza crust and she LOVES cheddar cheese (and will take it from complete strangers). Abby loves to be in the same room with her foster family She is learning how to sit on laps and beds and will go into her crate on command. She is almost completely housetrained (she will tell on herself if she does make a mistake.) and uses a doggie door without problem.

Abby’s foster mom recently went on a short trip and Abby stayed with another foster mom. This is what she said about Abby’s visit “Abby is doing spectacularly well. She immediately fell into the house jive... she is eating incredibly well, comes to me when I call her and sleeps with my girls. She is 110% pottytrained with the doggy door (even when it's really cold out!). She lets me hold her without being tense... I *heart* her and it's only been 5 days! She's the kind of girl you could live with forever.
