20-385 Simba

Simba #20-385. Arrived 10/14/2020 at 5 years old. Simba is a Rhodesian Ridgeback weighing in at 100+ pounds. Simba has been declared a dangerous dog in court due to owner irresponsibility that lead to her injuring dogs walking past her house. Simba needs a new home outside of New York. That home will only be possible if it is at a distance that we are able to do a home check or have someone we know and trust do a home check. Simba is an amazing girl with a great disposition. She is a cuddle bug, she loves to play with her toys and she can run like the wind in our big yard. While Simba does walk like a dream on leash, that can only happen when there are no other dogs to excite her. Therefore, going for a leash walk in a new home is not going to be an option as there is no guarantee of no encounter with another animal. Simba will need a secure fenced yard where she doesn't have view of other dogs walking past her yard. She will need self closing locked yard gates that will remain secure. Simba will best acclimate to a home where she doesn't have access to watching out windows or doors in her home. During this time she needs to be retrained not to build even more upon a drive that she has already succeeded in with bad behavior. Simba has great manners, skills, and she even knows some tricks. Simba will make a wonderful companion, in the RIGHT home. We have all become very attached to this incredible girl, and she deserves someone else to share in the love fest that we have with her.
