Size Large Medium--  about 50 lbs

Temperament- Very sweet and playful. However, not crazy wild- doesn't jump all over. He is more mellow but you can tell he is a very happy dog with his big smile.  He enjoys fetch and just hanging out with the person he loves.  His only issue is if you try and restrain him to mess with his ears- as when we were trying to get the sutures out- he remembers the pain he went through and I really can't blame him for trying to get away when he feels in danger again.

Energy Level- Medium energy- loves to play but not high maintentance.  Pretty calm over all but does llike to play fetch and wrestle with the other dogs.

Dogs/Cats/Kids- He is in a large pack of dogs -- is the most quiet dog in the world-- seldom if ever barks..  Loves to play and wrestle with the other dogs in the pack.  He ignores the cats completely- has never showed any interest never given chase-- they are just there.  He loves kids. My young nieces and nephew were here the other day and he thought he had died and gone to Heaven!!  He kept trying to get them to put their arms around him and bringing them balls to throw for him. He loves attention from them!!! They just sat on the ground with him, Zeus, Ike, and the puppies and he was very gentle the whole time.

Commands/Obedience Level- He walks well on leash and knows a few basic commands.    

Housetrained- Yes.. He has never had an accident in the house. Overall, he is not destructive-- but if he finds leather work gloves he will chew on them.. 

Best in any home.  I think he would love to be in a home with children though-- but would really do amazingly well with any one who can just love him and make up for his painful past.  He loves playing in the water -- actually  most of our dogs here have learned that water is wonderful to play in!!

Adoption fee $100 includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, age appropriate vaccinations, collar and tags, microchip, form to send in to Pedigree for $20 worth of free dog food, training DVD, training information, and all the support you need.

We do give a discount when adopting multiple pets.
