My Story

This is one of the most handsome dogs we've ever had at the township's animal control facilty, not to mention one of the biggest!. Everything points to Great Pyrenees, but we're still not sure. We're waiting to hear what they think from the Great Pyrenees Rescue. In the meantime, he needs a home. Great Pyrenees are not for every dog owner. Although they are loyal and devoted to their families, they may try to dominate a less secure owner. Great Pyrenees don't reach full maturity until they are about 2 years old, and our estimate is that this dog is between 1-1/2 and 2, so he may still be growing! GP is thin, and at full weight will easily top 100 pounds. Even if you're not in a position to adopt a dog the size of a small bear, this one is definately worth a look-see. ........UPDATE: Our suspicians have been conformed. GP is definately a purebred Great Pyrenese, and the rescue has come for him. If you're interested in adopting please contact them at: nepyresq.org
