"Bear"

Bear is a curious dog.... We mean that in a good way! Some say he looks like he was made out of spare parts - short legs, big shepherd head, long body... He's just one amazing looking dog. He is very shy. He is learning to trust people after years of abuse. He has good friends here at the Safe House, but there have been a few dogs he doesn't care for... mainly the bigger ones. Females tend to be his favorite. He needs a family where someone is home most of the time, and an adopter who is patient and with kindness help Bear learn to trust. He does enjoy walks on his leash - that is when he feels most confident. His shyness and distrust means he needs a good fence, as if scared, he will run. But we know this will get better with time and the right family! WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. BEAR IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN KERRVILLE, TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION.
