Zeus was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Georgia with his partner, Aphrodite, where they were scheduled to be euthanized. They were turned in sick and covered in fleas. Sadly, they were probably bred their whole lives since they had not been fixed yet and may possibly be siblings.
They have since been treated, bathed, fixed, and vaccinated. They are both very loving and must be adopted together to someone who is knowledgeable about Persians. They are estimated to be about 7-8 years old.
Zeus is a white and brown long hair boy who weighs about 8-9 pounds. He can handle dry cat food, but still needs regular wet food. Zeus likes to sit in your lap and rub on your leg. When he gets excited, he friskily runs over to the scratching post and grooms...he loves the sisal rope kind. He also likes hugs:)
Aphrodite is a long hair tortoiseshell Persian. She is very petite barely weighing over 5 pounds. She is completely deaf, but manages fine without her hearing. She, however, can not manage dry cat food and must be fed canned wet food multiple times a day. (She sure LOVES to eat!!!) She recently had a tooth removed and a teeth cleaning...and the vet says her teeth are still strong, but she can't seem to keep the pieces in her mouth to chew them.
She is not really a lap cat and doesn't like to be held on her back, but loves any other attention you will give.
They both do well with having their eyes/nose/mouth cleaned and actually seem to enjoy it. Being a Persian, they probably just got used to the need for regular cleanings.
They are wonderful cats and will brighten up your day with their sweet and sassy personalities. Check out the video of them playing:)
