My Story

Joyful, Playful, Adventurous Meet Zaatar! Her eyes will immediately capture your heart. This kitty radiates joy, playfulness, and an adventurous spirit that lights up every room! Zaatar adores people! As soon as you meet her, she will zoom over to you and nestle herself right into your lap for head scratches. Her silky soft fur may make it seem like an adorable black cloud is burrowed in your lap! Once she's satisfied with the cuddles and pets she's getting, she will hop right into playtime without missing a beat---sometimes, she'll even initiate playtime in your lap! Zaatar embodies the typical kitten persona, relishing in exploring her surroundings and engaging with toys and other kitties alike. Her favorite activities include playing with wand toys, showcasing her agility as she flips herself over to bat at them and drags herself around to chase after them! And thanks to her "breadstick" legs, watching her chase toys is twice as endearing! Whether she's chasing after wand toys or curling up for cuddles, Zaatar's playful spirit is undeniable and bewitching! Despite facing challenges, Zaatar's resiliency shines through. Her hind end is paralyzed due to a spinal fracture that caused permanent damage, and she has adapted remarkably well! She scoots around using her front legs, and scurries about as much as any other kitty. She always approaches life with a positive attitude! She will always maintain a cheerful level of activity and affection, eagerly seeking out love, attention, and new adventures. Cats with hindlimb paresis are often incontinent as well. Zaatar needs to be manually expressed---that means pressing gently on her to help her 'go'. It's straightforward and simple. APA! will show you how and make sure you are comfortable with her care. Check out this video for a quick demonstration: bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo Zaatar's interactions with other cats are nothing short of heartwarming; after she is given the time to get to know new feline friends, she enjoys the companionship they provide. Zaatar makes sure her needs are known, particularly when she's feeling particularly hungry. Zaatar's care routine is easy and flexible, and she'll thrive as both an only child and a cat sib! Her zesty and loving demeanor make her a wonderful addition to any home. Can you give her the love and stability she deserves? All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
