My Story

Female, about 4 years old, DSH Personality: friendly, independent, snuggly, talkative Sweet and endearing Willow has been on the march to being a great cat! While initially shy, she has blossomed into a loving and playful companion who merrily sprints around the house. Although this foodie happily indulges in her cat cuisine, she also has an interest in the human culinary arts. Willow will rub her face on your ankles while you cook, making her the perfect sous chef! She's intrigued by the aroma of human meals and is always eager to do dinner and a movie with you. Another benefit that Willow offers is her adorable, charming chirping vocalizations. Skip the Spotify playlist and listen to Willow's soundtrack instead! Even if she's not within arm's reach, you can often hear her purring to indicate that she's content just being in your presence. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care. Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
