URGENT! The Great Katsby

URGENT-PLEASE HELP KATSBY FIND A HOME! He has been with us for two years, and needs to find his furever home soon. Is there anyone out there for wonderful Katsby? Katsby will be attending our adoption events on Saturday, July 20 from 1-4 pm at the New Britain Public Library, 20 High Street in New Britain, and on Sunday, July 21 from 1-4 pm at Pet Supplies Plus, 1142 Silas Deane Highway in Wethersfield. He is currently in a foster home in Berlin with female cats. He is a calm, quiet, affectionate guy who coexists peacefully with other cats who respect his boundaries, but doesn't seek out their company. He needs a calm, quiet household without young children and dogs. He is shy initially, and will require an experienced cat owner with patience. He is friendly after he settles in, and loves to play-especially with catnip toys! He likes to give and receive attention on his own terms. He would be fine as an only pet if he has daily interactive play sessions to keep him stimulated, and he should have a short play session prior to each meal. He is easily startled by noises and unexpected movements, and probably suffered some trauma during his time as a stray. He eats canned food only. His fur becomes matted easily, and he requires regular grooming. He is 7 years old, and has been neutered, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
