***COURTESY LISTING*** Twister is sweet, sweet, sweet black and white, 7 year old boy who is looking for his forever home. He gets along well with other cats. Along with his buddy Miller, Twister is the unfortunate consequence of divorce, no fault of his own. He is a big, lazy boy who enjoys laying around the house. The adoption fee is on a sliding scale; $50 to $75. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. We have an all volunteer staff so your entire fee goes towards saving AWF's rescue animals. If your donation covers medical costs, then the remainder of your donation will go towards helping save another homeless pet!

No adoptions outside of an approx. 50-mile radius of Jones County/Cedar Rapids/Iowa City/Waterloo. In some instances, we are able to make an adoption outside of the radius work (but this varies on a case by case basis and may depend on where you live). The limited radius is due to a mandatory home visit needing to be done at the adoptive home by a rescue volunteer.

Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we can not guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
