Twiggy - Wants to be loved! Foster or adoptive home needed,

Tiny Twiggy was just 5 pounds when rescued. She was abandoned at a homeless encampment when law enforcement removed the humans from the private property. For a little over a month, nobody knew about the cats left behind, so they starved. Twiggy had given birth at about the same time, but the vet confirmed that none had survived. Her milk had dried up. :-(. She was too malnourished for them to survive. Twiggy, loves people and knew to cry out for help when we made one last sweep of the wooded property. We hear a heartbreaking cry from under an abandoned van and lured her out. The vet gave her a clean bill of health noting that she is just terribly underweight and suffering from flea dermatitis. Her scabs and thinning hair may be from the massive flea infestation she had when rescued, but could also indicate a flea allergy. We recommend that she be an indoor cat so you don't have to continually treat for fleas. And Twiggy likes to be close to food. In her foster home, she literally slept next to the food dish for the first three weeks. Now that she has gained weight and knows that food is readily available, she is starting to hang out in cat trees. We can tell Twiggy is starved for attention too because she cries at the foster room door trying to get us to come in, She wants to be with people! Fortunately, she has a pleasant, resonant meow. I've fostered for 3 decades and have never heard a meow like hers, Twiggy is spayed, vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped and combo tested. We don't know her exact age, but the vet said she is a young cat and is likely 1 to 4 years old. The adoption fee can be waived for applicants who wish to foster-to-adopt.
