Toucan needs an experienced adopter willing to work with her to overcome her shyness. She would approach you when given treats, and even would allow me to brush and pet her, as long as I have treats. She gets along with her littermate, Puffin, but prefers to keep to herself. She is very easily scared, and would show her fear with some hisses, but she wouldnt bite. Due to that, she should not be around small children, as she does not allow to be picked up. She should be the only cat, or raised with a kitten, as unknown cats intimidate her. With the right adopter Toucan has a lot of potential to improve with one-on-one attention, but she will not likely be a lap cat. She loves to play with the laser. She is a true tortoise, with some tortitude, but dont let that discourage you. She can be a wonderful companion, if you show her that she can trust you.
