My Story

Please contact Margaret ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

9/5/2010 I'm now a permanent resident due to my age and health. They love me, so this is fine by me!

3/3/2010 I'm still here. Are you maybe a mature gentleman or lady looking for calm company? Try me!1/6/09 Here are some new pictures of me. Maybe I look grumpy in some. Well, sometimes I am grumpy, but mostly I'm a gentleman looking for nice places to sleep, and a little attention now and then.

12/15/08 Happy Holidays!

10/4/08 I got to go back to the green room and I'm happy about that. Please come visit~

9/1/08 Please ask to see Feather's Suite and spend time with me and the other kitties here. Bring a brush to donate. We do like attention and we don't get enough! I may be an older gentleman and sometimes grumpy, but I deserve love too, don't I?

5/4/08 Please ask to see me when you come visit. I am in 'Feather's Suite' and it gets lonely!

11/25/07 Hi there! I know you are looking. Although I am a 'senior' cat, I have many years of love and companionship to offer the perceptive Special Someone. Please come see me, soon.

8/26/07 I'm keeping busy, keeping an eye on all the fur children around here. What's a distinguished gentleman to do? I'm still wanting my very own person.

Diary 3/12/07: I wait in the adoption area and try to get the attention of all the visitors but my special someone still has not come along. I have years of love and cuddles to give and no one to give it to.

Topaz wants a home of his own so badly that he's overcome his shyness and seeks attention from visitors. However, if disturbed he can be a bit nippy so we do not recommend him for small children or inexperienced cat persons.

Topaz's mom had to go into a nursing home. He's 7-8 years old, a very dark orange tabby with beautiful golden eyes. Topaz has really adjusted well to being in the main room at the shelter!

In his previous home, Topaz was not accustomed to children. However, he now shows interest in children, so we feel confident that older kids and Topaz will get along just fine!

He has tested negative for Leukemia and AIDs, is already neutered, and will be made current on shots.
