Hi, I'm TJ -Trs Jolie - French for "very pretty". I am a multi-colored, female tortie with beautiful green eyes and short, silky soft hair. My coat has streaks of orange, speckled with various shades of orange, black, gray, and white - maybe like a fall foliage look, sort of? Until a few months ago I lived with a very nice lady. She doted on me and thought I was one of the most beautiful cats she ever had seen; hence, my name! She died of cancer which is why I need a new furrever home. Her daughter took me in temporarily and then arranged for me to go straight to my foster home so I skipped the trauma of being confined in a cage! I am an adult (young senior) cat - still good years ahead, and I hope to spend them in a quiet home with windows where I can look out and nap (a sun room or screened-in porch would be a huge bonus!).
Speaking of napping - my favorite activity - I'm an expert. I sleep anywhere - my foster mom's desk, on the bookcases, in plastic bins where my foster mom put towels for soft sleeping spots. My favorite spot is my own personal condo that my sister Princess and I shared (Princess died in late April of cancer); I sit and watch out the window and, of course, nap.
I am a perfect companion for a person or family who wants (or needs) a low maintenance cat who is not a tripping hazard and is not demanding. My foster mom scratches me behind the ears and rubs my belly when I roll over a bit, and I purr when she pets and massages me! She picks me up and holds me when she has time. I love wet food - any flavor works, and I like to nibble on dry food as well. I also enjoy drinking water and am a litter box ace. When I get settled in my new home, I might expand my horizons and play a bit. My foster mom is busy and has her three cats so I mostly play quietly at night in my room with my toys. I have been by myself in my foster home; I have met two of my foster mom's cats and was polite. I prefer being with another cat who is very mellow or by myself. I was very attached to my sister, but I've managed fine in my foster home without a companion with my foster mom doting on me.
I cannot wait to meet potential adopters; I want to settle into a permanent home where I am as cherished as I was with my mom who spoke fluent French and English, so bonus if you speak French (but not necessary)!!! Please fill out an application and get approved; then you can meet me at my foster home and get to know me in a home setting. Merci d'avance de me considrer comme votre compagnon chat chri!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer
