Tabby

Tabby is a neutered male short-haired brown tabby cat, born 8/2008. Other than a couple of months, Tabby has been at our shelter since he was a little tyke. Tabby was adopted out to a young single father who agreed to keep him indoors. However, he did not. Tabby got beat up by another animal & the neighbor threatened to shoot him with an arrow, so Tabby returned to our shelter. Tabby is very affectionate cat who loves to sit on laps and purr. Despite his recent outdoor explorations, Tabby wants to be an indoor only cat - he's too nice & trusting to know when he's in danger. Tabby doesn't like to be picked up & otherwise handled or restrained. He wants his attention on his own terms. He may not be so great with young children who don't understand he's not a rag doll to be hauled around. He has also taken a dislike to most of the other cats in our shelter. He would make a great "only" lap cat.
