Sunshine

Hi my name is Sunshine! I came to Fancy Cat Rescue Team from a high kill shelter where I was picked up in Bowie, MD as a stray. I was in pretty bad shape with a hurt shoulder, broken canine tooth and completely emaciated. I am a sweet orange male declawed tabby. I have gorgeous golden eyes, short hair, and don't shed much. Despite the pain I was in and being completely famished it did not sway my very sweet disposition. My foster mom called me Sunshine because she was singing to me "you are my sunshine" and I liked it so much I began to curl around her legs and give her head-butts in the face. I have been with my foster mom for only a little while but am gaining lots of weight and my shoulder has healed. My foster mom also said that she will be taking me to the vets soon to see about my canine tooth. Because of my canine tooth, my foster mom only gives me soft cat food right now but I will try to eat anything I can. I can be just a little shy when you first meet me but I warm up really quickly. I don't have any litter box problems and always try to be neat and tidy. I am still very fast in eating because I am a little worried that I won't get anymore food. I will probably slow down when I realize that I am not on the streets anymore. I did have a nice home at one time as I still have the tale-tale signs of a collar around my neck. I don't really know how I lost my way but no one ever came to find me and I ran out of time at the shelter. If you give me a forever home I will show you unconditional love and companionship and will never want to leave your side.
