My Story

Calm, Cuddly, Snuggly It's not a stretch to say that Stretch loves you - she is highly affectionate and is overjoyed to lay next to you! She will sit on you, cuddle next to you on the sofa, and may even demand some pets with her adorable little chirp sound. She will even hold your hand with her paws and bring it to her face to tell you that she is ready for some pets! She is a little love muffin! Stretch likes the other cats in her foster home but doesn't seek them out for cuddling; she reserves that right for her humans! She does snuggle periodically with the resident foster puppy, but when the puppy starts galloping around the way puppies do, she decides the snuggle session is over! Stretch came to APA! with hind leg paralysis from unknown trauma. Her back legs are weak and for the most part, she uses her front legs to get around. She does like playing with toy balls and string toys, but seems most content finding a place to settle down, and doesn't feel the need to motor around the house. It could be a spot on the floor, on the sofa, or her favorite little window seat. Stretch is so full of love! She would thrive in a low-key home with someone who will love her back, snuggle with her, and appreciate her for her sweet and calm resilience. A window seat she can easily reach would be great, too!! Stretch is a fun, loving, and great companion! Contact APA! to learn more about her, and to arrange a meet & greet! Stretch is incontinent and requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. She seems to prefer a puppy pad to manual expression at this point, but APA! will teach you how to manually express and make sure you are comfortable with it. Caring for an incontinent cat is easier than you may think - check out this video: bit.ly/CatExpressionDemo All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Stretch, please email [email protected].
