Stratus

Stratus is a big, handsome boy of about 1 or 2 years old that loves back scratches and head rubs! He was taken in from an outdoor cat colony where he had been living with lots of other cats so he is used to being around other cats and has also been exposed to large cat-friendly dogs at his previous location. Stratus is very sweet and wouldn't hurt a fly but he is also quite shy, socially-awkward, and still currently skittish... he is still getting used to his new life and surroundings and would require a home that would allow him time and patience to come out of his shell. Stratus is a gentle giant... he is a huge male cat that can still be a little hissy when startled or approached by strangers but he has NEVER shown any aggression and just absolutely melts when you reach out and scratch him on the back or under the chin! He LOVES to be brushed and can't get enough human interaction but, again, he does need someone who is willing to give him time, patience, love, and a real chance to adjust on his own terms! (We assure you that this boy is absolutely worth it and he is one of our current favorites!) Stratus should go to a home with at least one other cat companion as he does well with other cats and would probably feel most comfortable with a feline friend! Stratus has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FeLV/HW tested negative, and microchipped!
