My Story

Adorable Scottish Fold Ready for a Loving Home**This is a courtesy post. This kitty not part of the Yolo County SPCA and his adoption will be done through a private party. All adoption applications and interest will be forwarded to his caretakers.** Estimated Birthday 10-08-2022 Okay to live in a home with... Cats May not do well with.... KidsDogs Physical Description Steven (or Steve) is a handsome long hair boy. He has true fold ears. He has an amazing long coat and the fur is super soft like angora bunny hair. With brushing he is a low shedder. He has some scaring in his right eye from a very bad eye infection as a kitten. He can see out of it but it looks cloudy. He is a good size boy which is more noticeable when we give him short hair cuts in the summer. (no shaving as he would be cold, but we do like to trim him up short sometimes.) He is fixed, chipped, and up-to-date on shots. His last vet check was 5 weeks ago and he got all gold stars. He is a champ in the litter box and has never had an accident in the house. Personality Steven is a sweet kitty. He is sort of aloof and quirky but wants to be around people. He likes to play with toys and he loves to sleep in cardboard scratching boxes. He likes to be pet (once he trusts you) and loves tummy rubs. He also very much enjoys being brushed. He currently lives with 2 other cats (who he likes) and 2 wild kids (who he very much dislikes). He likes to sit outside with his people, watch bees and chase bugs. He is our #1 spider and bug killer in our home. He has ZERO aggression (to people or cats - he has never hissed), but will run upstairs to get away from our kids. He wants a home with adults or grown kids who he can develop a relationship with at his own pace. When our kids are in bed he hangs out in our living room and wants to socialize. We feel bad that he can just 'be himself' with our kids around so we think its best for him to have a better living situation where he can blossom into the best Steve possible. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. For more information about this animal, please email [email protected]. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. All of our felines have been altered prior to adoption. Kittens have been given their first shots of FVRCP, adults are up-to-date on vaccinations, and all cats have been Feline Leukemia tested (negative) and micro chipped. The fee to adopt is $135 for kittens or $80 for adults over 1 year (the fee helps cover these costs and the cost of the microchip registration). A reduced fee is available for adopting a second cat or kitten For more information about an animal, please email [email protected].
