Sophie

Sophie was rescued as a stray from animal control. She's estimated to be about 5 years old and she's very shy at first. She's searching for a perfect, patient family to welcome her home! She'll need a lot of time to warm up to a new space and new faces, but she's incredibly sweet and enjoys being petted and snuggles with people if she can find someone to give her a solid chance. Sophie was adopted through our rescue years ago by an incredibly loving woman who said it took over a month of giving Sophie her own room to feel safe, and nearly completely ignoring her except for maintaining her food, water, and litter before she finally warmed up to her! When her momma had to move to a care facility, Sophie was eventually returned to us, though she was a little rough around the edges. She seemed to remember her foster family right away but her beautiful long hair was full of mats. We got her to the vet, had her vaccinations updated and gave her a thorough grooming, so she's back to her beautiful self and hoping to find another family with love to share! Because of her shy nature, Sophie's ideal home is a quiet home with no children (supervised occasional visits with older, respectful kiddos who can understand her need for space are okay). Sophie also wants to be an only pet, so she can relax and enjoy having her humans to herself! Sophie's got long hair so she'll need to be regularly brushed to keep it beautiful! Luckily it's one of her favorite activities, so she loves daily brushing! She also really loves wet food, though she's not picky. Sophie's a great cat and she's so deserving of a forever home! She's been fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and tested for FIV/FelV (negative) and she's ready! Her adoption fee is $100.
