Somer caught the heart of an Alley Cat Allies employee who simply could not return her to the alley she was humanely trapped. She is so affectionate that as she walked out of her trap to go back to her home in an alley in DC, she purred and wrapped herself around the ankels of our trapping coordinator. It was clear that Somer wanted to go home where there were people to scratch her back and air conditioning to keep her cool. She is quite a princess, but her symphony of purrs makes it all worth it!
Somer would be happy to go home by herself, but is currently in a home with other cats and seems to be doing ok. She is most comfortable with adults and shy around little ones. She is a perfect lap cat who is always ready for a rub down.
