My Story

Simone is a great girl with a tattered past. First discovered at the Washington Corrections Center for Women greenhouse, Simone would bolt when people tried to get near her. Eventually, when people were able to approach her, they saw that Simone only had one eye! After a few months they were able to safely catch Simone and the Prison Pet Partnership (PPP) rushed her to the vet for a full check up, a spay surgery, sutures on her front leg to close a wound she had acquired, and a surgery to close her missing eye. You would think this would make Simone an angry kitty - you'd be wrong! Through everything she's experienced Simone is still a sweet little girl who loves affection. She has quickly won the hearts of all who have met her. Our favorite thing about Simone - you can hear her purring through closed doors! Simone has lived with other cats and dogs while staying here at the prison and would be happy in any home. She has excellent litter box habits and is your typical spunky Siamese with a flair for sweetness. The Prison Pet Partnership requires that all cats adopted through the program must be kept as indoor cats only. If you think Simone is the kitty for your family, please fill out a Paroled Pet Application on our website at www.prisonpetpartnership.org and give us a call at 253-858-4240.
