Shrek & Fiona - bonded siblings

Shrek and Fiona are a bonded pair of siblings. When they were fixed in October of 2022, they were estimated to be about 6 months to a year old at that time. A property owner had them fixed and vaccinated, and then took them in as pets of his own. Due to family/health reasons, they were surrendered to us because at that point, they were not able to be returned outside given they had been living inside for quite some time. During the time with their original owner, they did wonderfully inside and were even around other cats at that time. Shrek and Fiona are basically twins. You can tell them apart by their size. Shrek is a big boy, while Fiona is a bit more petite. They are fixed and vaccinated, and do great using an open top or enclosed litterbox with pine pellet litter. They graze on dry food during the day, and at evening enjoy splitting a can of wet food. Shrek and Fiona love to be near each other. When it is time to sleep, they are always side by side, snuggled together. But when they are feeling playful, they will also get the zoomies and chase each other around! While they can be couch potatoes, they also love gazing out the window and watching the cars drive by. They will often perch on the window sill or perch on the top of the cat tree to get a good view. These two do take time to come around. Shrek will warm up first. He loves to be pet and give you kisses. Once Fiona watches Shrek warm up, she knows it is OK for her to do so too. She especially loves being scratched around he ears. These two would make wonderful pets for a quieter home where they can lounge around and snooze the day away. They have been with children who are 8 and 10, and do well with them. They have also been with other cats and after about a week or two, were eager to open up to them and play as well.
