When the five Campers kittens were left in an empty beer-case box at a girl-scout camp, they were flea-infested and less than a week old. The kittens were taken to a foster home and fed by bottle, and slowly but surely they recovered from the illnesses that usually afflict orphaned kittens.
Like their three adopted siblings, Savannah and Scottie were named after types of girl-scout cookies. Savannah's a fearless gray-tabby tomboy who loves to greet her people and is not afraid to keep her brother in line. When the wrestling and romping are going full speed, Savannah will always be in the middle of the action.
Scottie is a good-natured orange guy who enjoys face-nuzzling his people and thoroughly examining every type of human footwear he encounters. He's also a champion purrer.
You can follow the adventures of the Campers kittens at the 50 Kittens website!

Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact Lori Rolnick to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help Savannah and Scottie! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific cat you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.
You can save animals like Savannah and Scottie by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering animals.
