Sammie is one of Shirley Mae's kittens and probably the most timid. Sammie was fostered for a brief time at a volunteer's home where she was eating from her hand and sat near her but reverted back once coming back to the shelter. We feel with the right person/family who will give her the time and patience that she needs Sammie could come out of her shell.
