Samantha was found as a stray in Urbana with her SEVEN kittens! She was certainly not able to keep everyone alive by herself, so she was brought to Paws Animal Shelter. Even at the shelter she was overwhelmed by so many babies, and she was SO relieved when they were weaned. She's spayed now (Yay, she says - no more babies!!) and is in one of the adult cat rooms (the Catacabana). She didn't interact much with the other adults in the room at first, as she really did seem tired. She's well rested now, but still doesn't care for other cats so she'd do best as an only cat. She's not a bully, i.e. she doesn't stalk and attack other cats, but if they invade her "personal space" she will hiss and swat at them.
She loves to play with the fishing pole toys, but she doesn't care for being petted. She really wants her own home where she can enjoy spa treatment, pampering, and regular treats. If you're not looking for a lap cat, Samantha might be the cat for you!
