Hi, I’m Sam! I'm a classic chocolate-brown tabby with green eyes and marble markings. My sister Rosie and I had a difficult life outside before we were rescued, so I’m shy and unsure of humans. Don’t be fooled by my frowny face, I’m really quite sweet! I’ve been with my foster family for over a year, and while I prefer watching them from a comfortable distance and don’t like to be petted, I’ll eat Churu cat treats from their hands and play string toys with them. I enjoy playing with Rosie and my cat toys, and if the toys disappear, it’s only because I like to carry them off and hide them for later! I’m shyer than my sister Rosie, who helps me feel safe and encourages me to come out of my shell, though I need a place to hide when I get anxious. I would love to find a forever home to explore with Rosie, but I’ll need a very patient and understanding person to accept me for who I am. My future family should know I may never change, but hopefully with time I’ll be more receptive to their affection. I would do best in a calm and quiet home without young children and dogs, though I do well with other friendly cats. I’m a healthy kitty, however I’m considered special needs because I’m so shy and cautious, and I must be adopted with my sister Rosie. I’d be lost without her.
