Ready to fall in love? Meet Sam. This blue-eyed gentlemen is very friendly and generous. He enjoys spending time with his people as well as our 12-year-old test kid. He curls up on the couch with his people and watches tv is one of his favorite ways to spend time. He likes to lay on your tummy or sit beside you with his front paws on your tummy. He meows when you come and winds around your legs. He mumbles when he dreams and twitches his paws ever so slightly.

He does enjoy his treats, as you can see. He's currently getting measured amounts of cat food every day, playing with his peacock feathers, and slimming down nicely to his target weight of 18 pounds.

His fur is quite long, or will be when it grows back. His former "owners" didn't brush him, leaving him horridly matted. A very kind groomer shaved those matts, and now he is growing fur that is softer than you can imagine. His new family will need to be dedicated to brushing him on a regular basis -- not a problem with this schmooze. When we clipped his claws, he patiently waited for each paw to be done. No tugging his paws away or squirming.

Before Sam came to his foster home, he was called Box Cat. That's because he was found in a box, taped shut with no air holes, next to the garbage. He's now living in a foster home, where he displays perfect manners. He uses his litterbox and his scratching post perfectly.

He's up to date on his shots, neutered, and had his teeth cleaned.
