He, along with 50+ cats were taken out of a horrible hoarding case in 2018. Sal along with the rest of the cats brought in are very much a "family" and are very welcoming to all the new arrivals to the facility. You can often find Sal laying in the sun with 2 or 3 other kitties. He has slowly become more accepting of attention and his motivation is meal time. Not so much a lap cat but in home environment he could surely become on. Sal would definitely fit in best in a home with another cat and would probably do great with a kitten. He tolerates a calm dog being around but he could do without, no love lost. Adoption Fees: $80 for Cats All our pets are spayed, neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots. Our dogs have been tested and are presently on Heartworm prevention. The Animal Refuge Center has these and many more pets waiting for a good home. Note: The Animal Refuge Center has a "No-Declaw" policy. Our cats are too old to be declawed without risk of serious behavioral problems.
