My Story

*My adoption fee is sponsored!* Roxy is a playful, people-oriented cat. She likes being around and interacting with her human, enjoying pets, games (chasing balls!), or just sitting nearby. Roxy was surrendered by her owner because he was seriously ill. Turns out, she was also suffering from a history of breathing difficulty that led us/her right to the veterinary exam table. X-rays showed textbook indicators that Roxy had Feline Asthma. Roxy is now in foster, where she is doing great. Her foster mom reports that Roxy settled in very quickly, coming out of her safe little kitty cave for pets within the first day. She has learned to accept an asthma inhaler once a day (especially when it is followed by a couple of delicious treats!) and her asthma is well-controlled. She hasn't shown any symptoms of asthma while on the inhaler. Roxy can be a little shy and even a little growly/hissy with strangers at first. But she usually gets over that pretty quickly, giving out head bumps within a few minutes. She is an alert and active little girl who is very interested what is going on around her. She always greets her foster mom when her mom walks into the room. Like some dogs, she can be a bit "mouthy" when being petted, sometimes giving "love bites." She is very gentle when she does so. Her previous owner says she liked dogs, but was not too thrilled about other cats. In short, Roxy is a Very Good Girl and deserves an angel. Someone who feels drawn by the soul coming through those green-gold eyes and wants a best kitty buddy, even if a kitty inhaler comes with the gorgeous, affectionate package.
