My Story

*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION *** Name: Rosie Breed: Sphynx X (Elf) Age: 3-4 years Sex: Spayed Female Other pets: See below for more details Special Needs: see below We would like to introduce Rosie. Rosie came to us with 6 other hairless cats earlier this year. Unfortunately we do not know a lot about their previous histories, however, our vet estimates Rosie is between 3-4 years old. All of the cats arrived with severe chronic upper respiratory infections & severe diarrhea due to worms & giardia. Due to the severity of the upper respiratory infections our cats arrived with some of them may have long term side effects from this. Rosie does get discharge from her eyes during a stressful event (after vet visits & after getting spayed). The discharge lasts for 2-3 days and then is back to normal. She has been checked during an episode and no infection or ulcers were seen. All of the cats are currently eating Royal Canin gastro food as they all had severe diarrhea & sensitive stomachs when they arrived and this has worked really well for everyone. Rosie does use a Litter Robot in her foster home but also uses regular boxes & has been tested with several different types of litter. Rosie was the most timid of the clowder and took longer to warm up to the new surroundings of her foster home. Since then she has truly blossomed and has started to show her amazing personality. Rosie loves nothing more than to cuddle with her humans and will happily greet you when you come home. She is extremely playful and loves her toys (her favorites are wands & springs). With that being said we have discovered that Rosie would best be suited in a home without other cats. She loves her siblings, however, she is not the biggest fan of the resident cats in her foster home. Rosie is also currently in a foster home with large dogs, however, she needs her personal space and is choosy about when she wants attention from dogs. If she is not in the mood she will hiss and swat at the dogs (who have all been raised with cats, low energy & respectful). Rosie will cuddle and sleep with the dogs but only on her terms. Due to this she needs a home without dogs or a home with very laid back dogs who will not react to a potential swat. She has also been introduced to children and prefers older children. Rosie is such a sweet little girl and deserves a home of her own. If you are interested in Rosie adoption applications can be found on our website at www.aide4paws.com. Please note priority will be given to applicants with previous Sphynx experience. Due to the high volume of applicants our adoptions team will only be in touch with families we feel are best suited to Rosie's individual needs. Rosie's adoption fee is $500. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and also comes with a free trial of pet insurance
