You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Robin arrived at the Animal Rescue Network with his brother Joker in February 2020. When they first arrived, they were both very fearful, but his brother made progress quickly, while little Robin did not. A few months after his arrival at the shelter, we discovered that Robin had cholangiohepatitis. This is a liver disease of inflammatory origin. In addition, during his abdominal ultrasound, the vets found that he also had IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), which is an inflammatory disease of the colon and intestine. He will have to eat a specialized hypoallergenic type of food for the rest of his life. Since his IBD is well controlled, he should be able to live his life as a cat without medication. Over the years, Robin has met many cats at the shelter, but it was his meeting with handsome Rocky that changed everything. Through his relationship with Rocky, Robin has learned to trust us and we can finally pet him. Rocky has been adopted in the meantime, but Robin continues to seek the company of other cats. For this reason, we want to place Robin in a family that will have a sociable cat in the home. This will allow Robin to continue his good progress. Indeed, even if Robin allows himself to be petted, he still has a long way to go. It is necessary to show a lot of gentleness with him and of patience. Robin is making great efforts to open up to humans, and his health is stable. For the past few months, Robin has been part of the sponsorship program. We know that Robin will not find the perfect family quickly, but we want to give him a chance at adoption! Robin is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation within the first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood (https://www.felinegood.ca).
