Rita (bonded with Toby)

Meet Rita! Rita was saved with her bonded brother Toby from a farm this summer. They were very shy coming into their foster home, but they are quickly opening up as they learned to trust their foster parents. Our little siblings are now ready to find their forever home…together! From her foster – “Rita can be cautious initially, but her curiosity takes over to approach new things. She LOVES pom pom balls and will carry them around in her mouth, showing off her latest catch. She also eat Churus with much enthusiasm – which helped her foster family win her love. She will chew the tube if you do not push the treat up fast enough. She prefers not be to picked up, but is welcoming to gentle pats and chin scratches, as long as you move slowly. Rita is a sensitive soul that needs someone to meet her where she is and be patient.” Rita is missing left eye and her right eye has some scar tissue but she gets around just fine and has some vision. It remains blue colored possibly from the previous ulcerations. Fiercely bonded with her brother Toby. He definitely has given her courage to accept the indoor life and the love of a human.
