Reyna

A volunteer writes: Reyna was found by a Good Samaritan, almost lifeless in a park playground. She was brought to the Manhattan Care Center where her condition was stabilized. She was in respiratory distress as a result of a pneumothorax(air around the lungs) and her left femur was broken. Nobody will ever know what happened to Reyna...Despite her ordeal, sweet Reyna was making biscuits and looking for all the love she could get from her caretakers. She really had to be "contained" to prevent further injury to her leg. What a brave little soldier! Reyna is a pretty five year old gal, a Tortie with vibrant colors and lively orangy eyes. She seems to live for her visitors. She is beyond the critical phase but will need further management for her fracture. Reyna is incredibly valiant and resilient. She deserves all the help she can get, as soon as possible, as staying in a kennel will just expose her to a cold and delay the orthopedic care she so much needs. Reyna is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center. What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me. Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!
