My Story

Princess was a stray out on the country. She seemed to be someone's pet because she kept trying to get inside a farm house. They took her in and spent weeks trying to find her owner's but didn't have any luck. She is now with the Waverly Pet Rescue and is living in a volunteer home. She is up-to-date on shots and will be spayed soon.

Princess is a maine coon, she is about 1 1/2 yrs old. She is lovey and affectionate. Since she is a maine coon she has a lion's mane and it needs to be brushed regularly to avoid getting matted. She is a dominate cat who with time will adjust to other kitties. She does like to sleep on your bed.

03/17/08 UPDATE: Princess is VERY affectionate. She wants to be with you at all times. If you are sitting she sits with you, if you are sleeping she will sleep with you, and if you are in the kitchen cooking she will lay in the middle of the floor and watch you. For being a younger cat she is a big baby. She has huge gorgeous paws. She loves to kneed you. She has also been seen sucking on a blanket.

Will someone please adopt Princess and give her a forever home? $50 adoption fee.

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first. If you have questions or want to request an application, please send an email to the email address listed. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues.

Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the kitty had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office. (Ear mite treatments $15, medicine for kitty cold and runny eyes $20, Distemper and rabies shots $25, Flea treatment $25, Spay / Neuter $65.)
