My Story

Poppy is full of love and is eager to have some fun in a foster home while she recovers. She is a little nervous and would appreciate if her foster takes things slowly with her while she adjusts to a new environment. Reason for Foster: Lesion on tongue Foster Time Frame: 1-2 Weeks Foster Care Plan: Poppy came to us with an abnormal lesion on her tongue. She is having her appetite monitored to ensure this is not causing her discomfort or affecting her appetite. It is suspected that Poppy may have Calicivirus, so her foster should take precautions to ensure she is isolated from other cats in the home. Calicivirus is a contagious virus that causes respiratory infections and oral disease in cats. Poppy will go home with pain medication and will need a recheck with the medical team. I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting or under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster to Adopt program, sign up to be a foster online and express your interest in Poppy. We can schedule a pickup and meet and greet appointment. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/
