ARPO limits adoptions to within 50 miles of Indianapolis. We do not have a shelter; all pets are in volunteer foster homes. Periwinkle and his sister, Penumbra, share a very special bond. When separated, they cry until reunited. Their journey to ARPO was marked by both tragedy and good fortune. Their momma cat, who had been doing her best to care for them, was hit by a car, leaving the kittens to fend for themselves. An 11-year-old girl found and cared for them until she asked ARPO to take over and find them good homes. Periwinkle and Penumbra love to wrestle and chase each other, and they haven't met a toy they didn't like. When they aren't busy playing, they enjoy cuddling with you and sitting on your lap, but soon they're off on a new adventure. Both are sweet kittens who love being petted and don't mind being carried or placed in a carrier. Penumbra is the trailblazer of the pair. Curious and adventurous, she can't resist exploring new territory, always followed closely by Periwinkle. Penumbra is very fast and can dart out a door, sometimes from clear across the room. Periwinkle, on the other hand, is a lover who purrs as soon as you pick him up. He might even give you a kiss or rub his face on your cheek. He has a gorgeous coat of fur with the cutest little dots on his belly! You will love Penumbra with her white bib and boots, and Periwinkle has beautiful markings and the cutest little spots on his belly!
